The Joke

One day a someone sees his friend coming towards him with a banana in his hear. So, quite naturally, he says: "Hey! You’ve got a banana in your ear."

Person 2:  What?

Person 1:  (Louder) I said, you’ve got a banana in your ear!"

Person 2:  What? I can’t hear you.

Person 1:  (Yelling) I said, you’ve got a banana in your ear!"

Person 2:   I can’t hear you. I’ve got a banana in my ear!

The Context

Anything I could say would be superfluous.

But this does fit all the requirements for a Babcock joke. Subtle. Understated. Berating the obvious.
